I flapped my wings, held my head up high, and flew for it. What’s this “it” you’re asking? The “it” was a fake version of the Kylo Gem, but I was aware that it was fake. At the other end, lay a battle helmet, and feather guards. I was training for the Kookaburra Army, the hardest to join in our area. The Rabbit Army had grown too much, they were taking over our home! The Kookaburra General called out, as I grabbed the fake gem in my claws, and dropped it in the basket at the end. I strapped on my battle helmet and feather guards, and flew over to the main base, where I sorted out my role and where I was staying. ( I chose to be the strategist, and chose the top nest on top of the Gumtree ) You see, the fake gem collection was the hardest and the last challenge, but with intense winds and barking dingoes down below. The second hardest challenge was the Ice Sliding Climb, where you had to dodge falling ice and climb to the top, since if you flew, you’d bump your head and fall back down to the beginning. The Kookaburra Army was taken care of well, but instead of your average weapons we fought the wild rabbits with poisoned carrots, something we enjoyed planting. Later today we were going to meet the Echidna Group, the Wallaby & Kangaroo’s Justice, among many others. I was chosen to be the Leader, because we already had a strategist. But the main Leader ( who was about to retire ) saw something in me.
12:00pm
We’re meeting up with the other native animals now. Here it goes!
( After the meeting at 12:30pm ) The meeting went well, the Kookaburra Army will be carrying buckets of poison carrots, and the Wallaby & Kangaroo’s Justice Leader and I will be meeting tonight to plan more. I have the top branch and a small firebug in a jar for light, which I will be sleeping in tonight.
The next day ( The present time )
I just woke up, and I’m ready to fight the rabbits! The battlefield is full of our poison carrots, ( Which will both distract and poison the rabbits ) But I’m sure the Kookaburras will do well, because the bunnies have to throw flowers and we can fly. Our engineer have made wings for the Wallabies and Kangaroos, but since the bunnies will be trying to “fly” with carrot scraps, I don’t think they’ll go far. ( Heh, that’s funny! )But at 10:00am today, we have to march over and start the battle. We have also planted Gumtrees ( which will be used as poison-carrot refill stations ) and have marched down weekly to practice battling, and to better learn the field. And before you say that it’s too “violent” once the bunnies pass away, they’ll go back to Britain, where they belong. We’re about to go clean ourselves and attach our helmets and feather pads, but Leaders attach special helmets and Green Tuxedos. I pet a scared Bilby on her head, and gave her a small toy made of wood. Anyways, I better stop, because now we have to battle. I’ll see you this evening!
9:00pm
I’m exhausted! The battle just finished, and all of the bunnies are back in Britain with the foxes and badgers. We just had our medal ceremony, and I’m glad it only took 30 minutes. Our Army will still remain active, I mean, what if the bunnies come back? But I’m sure it won’t happen again. The Wedge Tail Eagles are proud of us, since they were fighting off Cane Toads, so they couldn’t help. Tonight all of the animal Leaders are meeting to design our War-Cry. Every Kookaburra was just rewarded with a branch of Red Waratah Flowers, highly prized among us. Anyways, I just filled up my last page, so this is my final entry. I’ll fill it up with more pages when I can, but for now, I’ll see you later!
