On Wednesday the 22, the Year 4 classes, 3/4E,4/5M and 4H went down to the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens.
We split into two groups and then 1 group split into lots of little groups.
In the first group (The group that didn’t split up into smaller groups) students completed a plant worksheet. They also planted a baby lomandra and got to look inside flowers and learn how they are pollinated.
The 2nd group got the opportunity to find things in the bush, like trees, dragonflies, butterflies and loads of multi-coloured mushrooms. They also had a worksheet and it was fun to find stuff in the walk like spider webs, gumnuts and skeleton leaves.
Students had lunch at about 11:15 - 12:00, then they swapped groups and went on walks with volunteers. Unfortunately, we had a lot of leeches and ticks on our walks. It was a really good day though and we learned a lot.
